26 days of the alphabet!

A fun way to teach letters, sounds, writing, listening and recognizing letters and words.

Each blog post will be the fun details of each day. Now let's get learning!

Letter A

Letter A



Letter A stands for so many fun words- however I used it to talk about Apples! Our day started with heading to the grocery store to buy one of each apple.

Activity:
1. We tasted each different apple to pick our favorite. David liked the deep red delicious, I enjoyed the Macintosh and my husband voted hands down for the Fuji. We also cut each apple in half to view the star shape that the seeds in the middle make.


 2. We painted with the apple half that we didn't eat

We made a mess but it was fun! AWESOME DAY!

We love the letter D- it stands for DINOSAURS and our David. Each morning I would set up our kitchen table with everything that goes with the letter. I realized 4 days into this that I should take a picture to show.
Activity: We had donuts from Dunkin Donuts

3. We played an envelope game with site words. I made cards with site words on them and he needed to deliver them to the right word mailbox. I put all the cards in the mailbox with the flag up (it was a sunday) so the day started with David having to go to the mailbox and collect all the mail to deliver. He even took it a step forward and made his own mail truck with the kitchen chairs.
